Introduction
In this project you'll learn all about namlit.dev - my personal portfolio website!
You can think of it as an extended CV with numerous details on:
- previous employments
- education & languages
- personal projects & experiences
- interests & hobbies
- and more :)
My goal was to create something much more personal and informative than conventional Résumés can provide on 1-2 pages. I split most topics into separate categories and pages to allow for easy navigation and filtering of what's actually important to you.
Architecture
To be fair, many parts of this website could've probably been created using a drag-and-drop website
builder, WordPress or displayed with a simple static website.
However! As a developer, I felt the urge of building all the bits and pieces myself. Including over-engineering for fun
and learning purposes - I just couldn't stop myself :D
The following shows a brief, abstract visualisation of my application architecture (if you don't understand, bear with me and read on below the graphic).
More details on how I built all the Services and engineered the Application Flow can be found in their designated posts.
For my non-tech-savvy friends, the posts in Design will probably be a lot more interesting, where I describe my thoughts and choices behind...well the design!
What's next?
While this project is meant as a personal portfolio website, it simultaneously serves as a documentation/wiki-page which is pretty neat.
I'd love to keep building, improving and add features like a user-creation, or another page that focuses more on
individual technologies where I can upload simple blogposts.
If you have some cool ideas, I'd love to hear from you - shoot me a message anytime!
Code
You will be able to find the code on my GitHub in the near future! First I have to get everything cleaned up tho before uploading v1.0.
Feel free to reach out if you have questions related to the design, coding and more anytime! I'd be happy to go over the code in my private GitLab too, while I haven't uploaded it here yet :)
With all that being said, I hope you enjoy going through the following project posts and might even learn something new, who knows!?
Happy reading :)
PS: Although I used Claude as a tool to support with some tedious programming tasks, I didn't use it to compose texts in any of this project's posts. I want to keep it rather personal in here to give you a better idea of how I actually write and communicate.
